Communication Cables

Enable reading out Divers under various installation and data retrieval environments (direct reading, short range radio, etc.).

DDC Cable

The Diver Data Cable (DDC Cable) (Article No. 11.11.48.xx; xx changes with cable length) makes it possible to read out Diver data directly at the wellhead or remotely without removing the Diver from the well. Its application is highly recommended if frequent readouts are needed or when the Diver is installed at high depths.

The DDC Cable connects to the Diver dataloggers through an optical connection. At the other end, the DDC Cable connects to your laptop, to an e+CONTROL unit, or to a modem by means of an interface cable (see the lower two figures at the right), or it can connect directly to a Diver-Mate unit:

  • Interface Cable No. 11.11.47.01: allows connection to a PC, or laptop through a USB port
  • Interface Cable No. 11.11.47.02: allows connection to an e+ CONTROL unit, or to a GDT-Multiple modem
  • Direct connection to a Diver-Mate unit

The DDC Cable is compatible with all Diver models and is available in several lengths up to 300 metres. Standard lengths are: 1 m, 2m, 3 m, 4 m, 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m, 30 m, 50 m, 60 m, 80 m, 100 m, 150 m, and 200 m. Customized length cables may also be ordered.

MDC Cable

The MDC Cable (Article No. 11.11.5x.xx; x.xx changes with cable length) makes it possible to connect the Diver to (1) the Diver-DXT short range radio device for wireless communication, (2) the well modem, (3) the GDT Multiple modem, and (4) to a MODBUS/RS3485 interface that allows integration into an existing telemetric system. The MDC cable connects to the Diver through an optical connection.

The MDC Cable is compatible with all Diver models and is available in several lengths up to 300 metres. Standard lengths are: 1 m, 2m, 3 m, 4 m, 5 m, 7 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m, 30 m, 40 m, 50 m, 60 m, 80 m, 100 m, 150 m, 200 m, 250 m, and 300 m. Customized length cables may also be ordered.
