Communication Cables

The connection between the monitoring well modem and the Diver dataloggers is achieved through the variable length e-SENSE communication cables.

MDC Cable

The MDC Cable (Article No. 11.11.5x.xx; x.xx changes with cable length) makes it possible to connect the Diver to (1) the Diver-DXT short range radio device for wireless communication, (2) the well modem, (3) the GDT Multiple modem, and (4) to a MODBUS/RS3485 interface that allows integration into an existing telemetric system. The MDC cable connects to the Diver through an optical connection.

The MDC Cable is compatible with all Diver models and is available in several lengths up to 300 metres. Standard lengths are: 1 m, 2m, 3 m, 4 m, 5 m, 7 m, 10 m, 15 m, 20 m, 30 m, 40 m, 50 m, 60 m, 80 m, 100 m, 150 m, 200 m, 250 m, and 300 m. Customized length cables may also be ordered.

GDT Cable

The GDT 1-eye Cable (Article No. 11.32.6x.xx; x.xx changes with cable length) makes it possible to connect the Diver to the GDT Multiple modem. The Diver side connector is IP68 (prolonged submersion at 10 bar). The contra plug (=square M12 connector) is IP67 (temporary submersion for max. 30 min. at 1 mH2O) when correctly mounted to Global Data Transmitter Multiple or correctly mounted with screwed cap. The MDC cable connects to the Diver through an optical connection.

The GDT Cable is compatible with all Diver models and is available in several lengths up to 200 metres. Standard lengths are: 1 m, 5 m, 10 m, 20 m, 30 m, 60 m, 80 m, 100 m, 150 m, and 200 m. Customized length cables may also be ordered.
